Feng Shui, A Clean Home & Your Health

Is a Clean Home Vital to your Health?

Believe it!  As you know my background is quite extensive.  Most people don’t think that how you keep your home has any effect on your health.  Just like people don’t think that one snickers bar will increase their changes for developing diabetes, but it certainly will.  Many people have this indestructible view of their lives and don’t have a very good grasp of their mortality.

We don’t heal nearly as well as our bodies age.  Keeping care of your body is the key to long lasting health.  Often people who are self-employed or deep in their careers let their health slip.  These people get shocking news when they go for their annual physical.  This all boils down to the point about organization.

Organization is one of the keys of life.  Things start with the home.  Keeping your house tidy, laundry folded, carpet clean and kitchen clean is very important to your life as a whole.  Many people don’t keep their houses clean.  Other people try to save money by working extra hours at home trying to keep everything tidy.  I always suggest hiring a good cleaning service to keep your home clean.  Finding the right house cleaner can be difficult, but you’ll find the right one.  Once you find the right maid to keep your home tidy it makes the rest of your life just fall into place.

When your home is organized, that organization spills into everything else that’s going on in your life.  The habit of being organized and being mindful of the Feng Shui of your home is very important.  Ever get that great feeling of having a new haircut?  It wasn’t a huge change you made in your life, but rather it was simple.  That simple change completely changes your mind.  When we can change the way the mind functions it can have a positive impact on your health.

Curing Diabetes

sponsorsMost people don’t believe that it’s possible to actually cure diabetes.  We’re not designed to believe in the possibility of a cure for such a hardy disease to be readily available.  Readily available isn’t the right wording because that implies that you can take a pill to cure diabetes.  The fact of the matter is that our culture is very pill oriented.  We’ve been trained to believe that pills are the answer to all of our problems.  Unfortunately, that’s a costly belief.  The pharmaceutical industry thrives on that belief.

Pills are not the answer.

There are cures to almost everything, but you’ll need to dig very deep to find it.  Diabetes is a huge industry and big pharma can make a ton of money off of it.  However, with the internet being what it is… everything is now searchable.  Blogs are going up left and right to be able to give you the information you need to make the right decisions.  Hence, this blog…  We’re doctors, but now we’re doctors with a conscious.

The problem with the information age & big pharma’s reach is that we always need 3rd party verification for a statement to be true.  In my professional career I began with no need for 3rd party verification, but as time went on and the 1970s became the 1990s I felt as if I was no longer the doctor.  People came to our practice with preconceived notions based on their google findings.  Although helpful it wasn’t great for business.  Like most professional athletes we had a much similar set of sponsors.

End Rant – How to Reserve Diabetes

My Big Pharma rant has ended (for now).  Reserving diabetes is an interesting topic because there is a lot of research done on the effectiveness of altering your diet to fix the disease.  The shocking part of this story is that diabetes (here we go again) medication gives you a strict eating pattern to go along with the drug.  It’s suggested that eating a lower carbohydrate diet while taking the diabetes medication will help the effectiveness of the medication.

However, that’s a loaded statement.  The effectiveness of the diet improves the ability of the useless medication to “do” what it’s supposed to do.  As you’ll see below in this video by Jason Fung you can reverse diabetes naturally.

Dr. OZ’s take on Prevention

Nancy here!  Today I want to really focus on getting into the discussion of prevention.  Dr. Oz is one of the most well known MDs on Planet Earth.  His show, the OZ show is watched by millions of people every week, but it still doesn’t make a dent in the perception of the average person.  It’s unbelievable that people still depend on western medicine to cure their issues.  You can see a great video by Dr. OZ by clicking here.

As a PA (physicians assistant) myself I can tell you with confidence that Dr. OZ really knows what he’s doing.  He is definitely one of the top doctors on the planet.

The biggest takeaway you can learn from him is that you’ve really got 2 choices when eating something.

Choice #1:  Make you less healthy

Choice #2:  Make you more healthy

The choice is yours.  More posts to come.  If you need to learn more about us just click here.
